The event brought together the Club\u2019s newest members and the Board of Directors for an evening designed to meet, share experiences and start building connections from day one.<\/strong><\/p>\n On Monday, 21 September, Real Club de Golf El Prat held a new edition of its New Members\u2019 Cocktail<\/strong>, an event that reflects the Club\u2019s social and welcoming spirit and aims to introduce those who have recently joined the El Prat community.<\/p>\n The evening brought together members of different ages and backgrounds in a relaxed atmosphere, providing a first opportunity to meet one another, network and start building connections<\/strong> with fellow Club members from the very beginning.<\/p>\n The event was attended by all members of the Board of Directors<\/strong>, who personally welcomed the Club\u2019s newest members.<\/p>\n Throughout the cocktail, each Board member gave a brief introduction, sharing their role and connection to the Club and addressing a few words to the new members. This informal and personal format gave attendees the opportunity to meet the people behind the Club\u2019s leadership, speak with them directly and gain first-hand insight into different aspects of life at El Prat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n Beyond the introductions, the evening provided an opportunity to exchange impressions, answer questions and share experiences between long-standing and new members, reinforcing from the outset one of El Prat\u2019s greatest strengths: its community.<\/p>\n During his speech, Real Club de Golf El Prat President Pancho Schr\u00f6der<\/strong> reflected on the recent success of the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship<\/strong>, which marke<\/p>\n d the return of the DP World Tour to the Club and generated significant media attention.<\/p>\n Schr\u00f6der also highlighted the outstanding sporting level currently represented at El Prat, noting that the Club has 22 professional-level players<\/strong> competing across the leading European and American tours. As he explained during the event, this is an exceptional figure internationally and a reflection of the Club\u2019s long-standing connection with elite golf.<\/p>\n This achievement is also closely linked to El Prat\u2019s continued commitment to developing the next generation of players.<\/p>\n \u201cThat is why we work so hard with our young players and our Academy,\u201d<\/strong> Schr\u00f6der said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n The development and sporting progression of young golfers is one of the pillars of the Club\u2019s Academy, which is designed not only to teach golf-specific skills, but also to foster a passion for the game, instil its values and support players who wish to progress towards competitive golf.<\/p>\n The Board members\u2019 speeches combined an institutional welcome with a warm and relaxed tone.<\/p>\n Among them, Ignacio Bor\u00e9s-Leonori<\/strong> addressed the new members directly with a particularly memorable welcome:<\/p>\n \u201cYou have made a brave decision. You won\u2019t regret it: here you\u2019ll find great golf, great people and a very tough golf course.\u201d<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n His words brought smiles from those attending and captured much of what joining El Prat is all about: enjoying golf at the highest level while also becoming part of a community where personal relationships and social life play an essential role.<\/p>\n This year\u2019s gathering also had special significance, as it was Pancho Schr\u00f6der\u2019s final New Members\u2019 Cocktail as President<\/strong>, ahead of the Club\u2019s electoral process scheduled for next year.<\/p>\n During their speeches, members of the Board took the opportunity to publicly recognise Schr\u00f6der\u2019s work throughout his years at the helm of Real Club de Golf El Prat<\/strong>, particularly highlighting the management carried out to overcome a challenging financial period and contribute to the Club\u2019s current development and stability.<\/p>\n The evening therefore became not only an occasion to welcome the Club\u2019s newest members, but also an opportunity to recognise a chapter that is approaching its conclusion before a new institutional cycle begins.<\/p>\n Following the speeches, the cocktail continued in a relaxed atmosphere, giving attendees the chance to talk and get to know one another.
