2025, a Year of Success for Real Club de Golf El Prat

The year 2025 will be remembered in the recent history of Real Club de Golf El Prat as an exceptional season. Our members have enjoyed a year full of successes in international, national, regional competitions and tournaments hosted at the club, reflecting the high sporting level and strong commitment that define our community.

Professional Members in International Championships

At international level, the club’s name once again stood out thanks to Quim Vidal, who was crowned champion of the DP World Tour – Delhi Challenge, held on 20 and 21 March 2025 at Classic Golf & Country Club (Gurugram, India). A victory of great significance which also earned him a DP World Tour card, consolidating his international career.

Members in Catalan Championships

The regional calendar brought great joy to the club:

  • Vicente Mestre was crowned champion of the Catalan University Championship, held on 25 March 2025 at Real Club de Golf El Prat, winning the men’s scratch category.

  • Sandro Bugossé claimed victory in the Catalonia Men’s 4th Category Championship, held on 18 May at Aravell Golf & Country Club.

  • In the Catalonia Absolute Championship, played from 11 to 13 July at Club de Golf Barcelona, Pablo García Terol lifted the trophy.

  • Álvaro González was crowned champion of the Catalonia Sub-14 Match Play Championship, held on 20 and 21 September at Golf Costa Brava.

  • Daniela Montolio claimed victory at the Catalonia Sub-16 and Sub-18 WAGR Championship, held from 17 to 19 October at Aravell Golf & Country Club, becoming champion in the Sub-18 women’s category.

  • The club’s junior team was crowned champion of the 13th FCGolf Junior League, held on 8 and 9 November at Vallès Golf, following an outstanding team performance.

  • The club’s senior team won the Catalonia Senior Interclubs Championship, held on 22 and 23 November at Real Club de Golf El Prat.

  • Members in Spanish Championships

    At national level, our players and teams once again demonstrated their excellence:

    • The team formed by Marcel Fonseca, Xavi Yagüe, Pablo Dalmau, Tomàs Junquera, Juan Dalmau and Vicente Mestre won the Spanish Absolute Interclubs Championship, held on 29 and 30 November at Golf Barcelona.

    • In the Spanish Women’s Interclubs Championship, held on 28 and 29 June at Golf Sant Cugat, the team captained by Pablo Güell claimed the national title.

    • Enrique Martínez and Paco de Pablo were crowned champions of the Spanish International Senior Men’s Doubles Championship, held on 18 and 19 February at Sherry Golf.

    • Ana Peláez successfully defended her title at the Spanish Women’s Professional Championship, held on 19, 20 and 21 November at La Hacienda Links Golf Resort.

    • Our junior team won the III José María Olazábal Cup, held on 16 and 17 July at Real Golf Club de San Sebastián, lifting the trophy for the second time after also winning the inaugural edition.

Championships Hosted at Real Club de Golf El Prat

The club also hosted major competitions throughout the season:

  • At the Club and Barcelona Doubles Championship, held on 18 and 19 January, the winning pairs were crowned in their respective categories.

  • At the Barcelona Absolute Men’s Championship, held from 27 to 29 June, Xavi Yagüe was crowned absolute champion and Ignacio Barea won the boys’ category.

  • Enrique Martínez won the Barcelona Mid-Amateur and Senior Championship, held on 29 and 30 March at the club.

  • At the Mixed Club Championship, held on 29 and 30 November, Lola and Biel Cabanes won the absolute category, Enrique Martínez and Victoria Rivero the senior category, and Gerardo Bascones and Ana Badrinas the handicap category.

  • In the Club Absolute Championship, María Ros won the women’s title and Vicente Mestre the men’s title.

  • In the Club Senior Championship, Victoria Rivero was crowned women’s champion and Eugenio Borés-Leonori men’s champion.

 

 

The year 2025 has undoubtedly been a remarkable one for all our players, with a wide range of victories that further enhance the sporting prestige of Real Club de Golf El Prat.
