Real Club de Golf El Prat is located in an idyllic 220-hectare setting, part of the green corridor that links the Sant Llorenç del munt i l'Obac and Collserola Nature Parks.
One of the major challenges in constructing the new club was to ensure that its geographical and environmental impact was a significant improvement on the previous golf course landscape in eco-friendly terms.
The golf course’s perfect integration with more than 126 hectares of forest and 20 hectares of grain crop farming land has favoured an increase in the fauna populations that complete their life cycles within the club surroundings.
Designed by Greg Norman, the golf course is well integrated into the area’s native landscape.
Golfers are able to enjoy the local environment’s diverse habitats, including an oak grove, holm oak meadow, oak trees and Mediterranean scrubland.
Respect for the environment is one of the club’s key hallmarks, highlighted by its compliance with ISO 14001 certification in recognition of a solid commitment to sustainability.
