The club is in contention for two European awards —Best Golf Clubhouse and Best Golf Venue— as well as the national title of Spain’s Best Golf Course for its Pink Course. Voting is now open until 1 October 2026.

Real Club de Golf El Prat has been nominated in three categories at the 13th edition of the World Golf Awards, one of the most prestigious international recognitions in the field of golf tourism and golf facilities.

The club is shortlisted for Europe’s Best Golf Clubhouse 2026 and Europe’s Best Golf Venue 2026, in addition to the national distinction of Spain’s Best Golf Course 2026 for its Pink Course.

These nominations position Real Club de Golf El Prat among Europe’s leading golf institutions, recognising both the quality of its courses and the strength of its infrastructure and organisational capabilities.

In this regard, Marcello Della Vecchia, International Commercial & Marketing Director of Real Club de Golf El Prat, stated:

“The triple nomination confirms the club’s evolution in recent years and its ability to remain among Europe’s leading venues. It is a recognition that goes beyond a specific moment and validates the consistency of our sporting and institutional project.”

A triple nomination covering both course and facilities

The Europe’s Best Golf Venue category recognises the overall excellence of a host venue, including course design and conditioning, operational standards, hospitality, and the ability to stage top-level competitions. Meanwhile, the nomination for Europe’s Best Golf Clubhouse highlights the architectural and functional quality of the facilities serving members, players, and visitors.

The third nomination concerns the Pink Course, designed by Greg Norman, which is in contention for Spain’s Best Golf Course 2026. The layout is well established on the professional circuit, recognised for its technical challenge, the consistency of its greens, and its competitive performance.

The club has hosted the Spanish Open on ten occasions and will return to the DP World Tour calendar from 7 to 11 May 2026 with the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, further reinforcing its presence on the international circuit.

Voting open until October

The World Golf Awards will celebrate their 13th edition in 2026, honouring the finest golf destinations and facilities worldwide. Voting is open to both industry professionals and golf enthusiasts and will remain active until 1 October 2026.

Recognition at a moment of consolidation

The triple nomination for the World Golf Awards 2026 places Real Club de Golf El Prat among the most outstanding golf venues in Europe.

This milestone also coincides with a new competitive chapter: in 2026, El Prat will host a European Tour event for the eleventh time, with the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship of the DP World Tour. The improvements currently underway on the Pink Course are part of the same commitment to excellence and preparation for top-level competition.

The combination of historic legacy, continued professional activity and recent recognitions reinforces the club’s position as one of the leading institutions in Spanish and European golf.
