The Barcelona Mid Amateur and Senior Championship already has new champions. After two intense days, with the participation of up to 139 players, the French golfer Jean-Charles Gouvernaire managed to win with 149 shots (+5), in the Scratch category, in a tough final play-off on the first hole of the Course Rosa from the Real Club de Golf El Prat, surpassing Jorge Olmos and Javier Aldámiz – Echevarría.

Jorge Olmos arrived at the 18th hole with a one shot advantage over Jean-Charles Gouvernaire and Javier Aldámiz – Echevarría, but a bogey would make him tie with them. Carlos Foulquié finished with a bogey at minute 18, finishing one shot behind the trio of players who played in the playoffs.

For his part, the partner Aleix Alegre Orduña won the Barcelona Mid Amateur and Senior Championship, in the Handicap category with 145 shots. In the senior category, Ivan Solana would achieve victory with 149 strokes.
