REAL CLUB DE GOLF EL PRAT NAMED AMONG SPAIN’S TOP 10 GOLF COURSES
Real Club de Golf El Prat has been ranked among the Top 10 golf courses in Spain, placing eighth in the national classification published by the international platform Top100GolfCourses, one of the leading global references in golf course evaluation.
The ranking reinforces Real Club de Golf El Prat’s position as one of the country’s leading championship venues and underlines its growing international profile. Compiled through assessments by independent expert panellists, the Top100GolfCourses ranking evaluates key performance areas including course design, conditioning standards and overall playing experience.
Real Club de Golf El Prat has a long-standing history of hosting elite-level professional golf, having staged the Open de España on ten occasions. The Club will return to the DP World Tour calendar from 7–11 May 2026 with the Estrella Damm Catalunya Championship, marking the first of five tournaments that will see Catalunya become a host region of the Ryder Cup in 2031.
From a sporting standpoint, the Pink Course is recognised for its strong technical foundation, with particular emphasis on the quality of its greens, which are widely regarded among the best in Spain for consistency, reliability and performance at championship level.
The recognition coincides with an ongoing programme of improvements at the Pink Course, which has been underway for several months. The most significant project is the full renovation of all bunkers, aimed at enhancing uniformity, playability and competitive performance. In parallel, targeted refinements to the course’s presentation are being implemented in line with the standards expected of international tournament venues.
